Alecia is an award winning multi-media professional with 12+ years’ experience working in the film industry. She is a prominent voice in the region’s film community as President of Women in Film and Video of New England. She also uses her marketing and development skills at NPR station WCAI, a service of WGBH. She also devotes time to Save MA Film Jobs, working behind the scenes for the grassroots organization. She was named one of the Cape & Plymouth Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 for her volunteer work & entrepreneurship and is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts. In 2020 she was honored as an “Imaginnaire” by Imagine Magazine given for creative vision, leadership and commitment to excellence within the film industry. Alecia enjoys going on adventures with her filmmaker husband Scott and curious son Finn.

2018 – Present

Development Associate - WCAI the Cape & Islands NPR Station

Local development team member for WGBH/WCAI tasked with raising $1millon. Create on-air, print, digital and social media campaigns, as well as member out-reach and stewardship. This also includes planning events for the station, in person and virtual.

2012 – 2018

Host & Social Media Coordinator - WCAI the Cape & Islands NPR Station

Local Host for NPR’s Weekend Edition and fill in for All Things Considered as part of the news team. Created and implemented social media strategy for the station.

2016-Present

President - Women in Film and Video of New England (Volunteer)

WIFVNE works to “Change the Lens” for new England filmmakers by advancing female storytellers in their craft through networking, community, mentorship and education. Previously served as Vice President 2015. Took on the task of revitalizing the organization as it was on the brink of closing.

CEO - Good Natured Dog Productions

Good Natured Dog Productions is a full-service video production agency.
Co-founded by myself & Scott Lebeda, we not only created original narrative films, but found ways to bring the power of video to small businesses across
New England. This included creating video content for social media platforms.

2009-2013

Production Coordinator - Falmouth Community Television

FCTV is a member based Community Television station serving the greater Falmouth area with the potential of reaching 31,500 viewers daily.  Hired to provide end-to-end  broadcast video production services and training for
the facility. Coordinated, scheduled, and supervise all productions.

2011-2017

Educator – Geek Girl Tech Conferences​

Created, designed, developed courses and taught video and social media
skills primarily to woman. Classes covered topics including Facebook,
Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, managing your digital footprint, content
creation and developing a social media strategy.
